Towards the development of urban market spaces in Antananarivo – Madagascar
In 1930, the markets of Antananarivo, whose first organizations date back to the end of the 18th century, were redeveloped for the purpose of urban sanitation and restructuring. Since then, the “Tsena Malagasy”, true business centers, have enlivened the city and attracted migrant populations through daily mobility, sometimes generating spatial planning challenges.
Insuco is mandated by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and intervenes in support of the Urban Commune of Antananarivo (CUA) to characterize these urban mobilities within the markets of Antananarivo and thus better govern the flows in the CUA and its periphery.
