The GM for Latin America and the Caribbean’s mission in Guatemala
Guillén Calvo, General Manager for Latin America and the Caribbean, accompanied by Nathalia Cubillos, Project Coordinator for Insuco in Colombia, was in Guatemala last week to launch our new project with the company Entre Mares. Over the next few months, Insuco will be developing a community health and safety plan, conducting a human rights risk and impact assessment, and updating the social baseline study for communities living in the area of influence of the Cerro Blanco mining project (southeast Guatemala). The visit was also an opportunity for Guillén to meet with a range of potential partners at the national level, and to identify new development opportunities for Insuco in the country.
