Realization of an Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) of the algaculture project in the Atsimo – Andrefana region
Aquaculture is one of the solutions to overexploitation of natural resources and can be a powerful lever for the development of the blue economy. In Madagascar, in the Atsimo-Andrefana region, Ocean Farmers (ocean-farmers.com) has been developing a contractual village seaweed farming model for the past 10 years with the support of non-governmental organisations and coastal communities in the region.
For the next four months, Insuco will be in charge of carrying out the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) of the project in 37 villages spread over approximately 350 km. We thank them for their trust.
