Recent and ongoing projects

Mission:

Insuco was mandated to produce an Environmental and Social Impact Notice (ESIN) for an avocado oil processing unit, for the company Emile Noël Guinea. The objective of the mission was to identify the environmental and social issues associated with the avocado processing unit and in the avocado production area, as well as to make recommendations regarding the management of the project impacts. Insuco supported the company in the process to submit the ESIN to the Guinean Bureau of Environmental Studies and Assessment, and to present the results in open courts in order to obtain the Environmental Authorisation from the Ministry of Environment, Water and Forests.

Results:

Insuco delivered to the client an ESIN report, for submission to the Guinean Bureau of Environmental Studies and Assessment, that includes:

• A description of the institutional, legal and regulatory framework
• A brief overview of the biophysical and socio-economic environment
• A stakeholder engagement plan
• An impact matrix
• A proposal for the Environmental and Social Management Plan
