Mission:
Fair Labor Association (FLA) is a non-profit organization that accredits companies in terms of their compliance with labor standards in different value chains. FLA was contracted by L’Oreal to develop an assessment of human rights compliance in different value chains in the Latin American and Caribbean region. FLA contracted Insuco to assess the impact of sugarcane value chain activities in Paraguay on the people/workers involved in those activities.
The evaluation was carried out remotely and FLA international standards were used. Insuco also proposed the use of International Finance Corporation (IFC) standards, from a participatory perspective.
