Technical assistance and update of the Livelihood Restoration Plan (LRP) of Okouma for the COMILOG 2020 project
Client : COMILOG (Compagnie Minière de l’Ogooué) / Eramet
Mission:
In a spirit of increasing their production to meet strong global demand, Comilog has planned an increase in its production capacity at the Moanda site. This increase in activities envisages the launch of the exploitation of the Okouma plateau, the COMILOG 2020 project.
An Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) has been carried out in 2019. Based on the results of the socio-economic studies and consultations, there will be no physical displacement. In 2020, Insuco accompanied COMILOG in the completion of the Livelihoods Restoration Plan (LRP) for this project. This mission consisted of updating the available PRMS and assisting with the public hearing.
