Feasibility Study for the Women's Entrepreneurship Development and Support Project for the Promotion, Transformation, and Marketing of Togolese Products (PRODEF – Agripreneurs) – Togo
Mission:
In Togo, agriculture represents one of the strongest economic and sustainable development potentials. To support this development potential, the Togolese government has developed the National Agricultural Investment Programme for Food Security and Nutrition for the period 2017–2026, the main tool for implementing the Agricultural Policy Document since 2016. As part of supporting these efforts, the Togolese government secured funding from AFD to develop and implement the Women’s Entrepreneurship Development and Support Project for the Promotion, Transformation, and Marketing of Togolese Agri-food Products (PRODEF). PRODEF aims to strengthen entrepreneurial ecosystem actors, support agri-food product transformation systems to scale up existing initiatives, and promote and raise visibility of entrepreneurial initiatives. MAEDR and AFD aim to focus on the most promising sectors with strong female representation to continue initial support and enhance competitiveness of their products, enabling them to contribute to the country’s development process. It is within this context that Insuco was commissioned to develop an operational structuring proposal for PRODEF based on an initial diagnosis.
Results:
Insuco submitted the following deliverables:
- A scoping note,
- A diagnostic report,
- A project structuring report,
- Terms of Reference for the PRODEF Project
