Recent and ongoing projects

Mission:

Conduct an analysis and assessment of the main direct and indirect environmental and social (E&S) risks associated with the implementation of Integrated Rural Reform (RRI) policies in Colombia, in order to provide strategic and technical recommendations on E&S management to guide the preparation of AFD’s PBL (CCO).

Results:

Insuco has supplied the following products:

• A methodological proposal and a work plan, adjusted at the request of the AFD, including the final and detailed schedule of the consultancy activities.
• Diagnosis of the E&S regulatory framework and the institutional structure applicable to RRI, identifying gaps in relation to the international standards of the World Bank (WB).
• Analysis of institutional articulation and participation in the implementation of environmental and social management (E&S) in the execution of priority investment plans for RRI, taking into account the internal management structure, design and implementation of plans and programs, development partnerships, mitigation measures, among others.
• Analysis of progress in the effective application of E&S management systems in projects already implemented by international cooperation (WB, IDB, KFW), mainly identifying risk mitigation strategies, monitoring systems, capitalization of learning.
• Concise strategic and technical recommendations to guide AFD’s PBL based on the assessment of potential E&S risks (direct, indirect).
