Recent and ongoing projects
Technical assistance and implementation of qualitative and quantitative studies for a behaviour change project on solid waste management and responsible water consumption.
Mission:
To ensure that all people in Latin America and the Caribbean have access to water and sanitation services, new investment in infrastructure and operations is essential. For these investments to reach their full potential, the perspectives and experiences of local users of these services are essential.
The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) is aware of the importance of community perspectives in transforming the sector, which is why it has called on the services of The Behavioral Insights Team (BIT), in alliance with Insuco, to achieve two main objectives. On the one hand, to develop the general framework to guide the interventions of its water and sanitation division using the sciences of behavioural change in the overall management of solid waste and sustainable water consumption.
I am also developing four behaviour change campaigns: a) Campaign for responsible water consumption in La Romana, b) Campaign for responsible waste management in the National District, c) a campaign to promote the circular economy in Montevideo, and d) Campaign for responsible water consumption in Montevideo.
Results:
Insuco carries out the following activities:
- Mapping the players involved in behaviour change campaigns
- Development and analysis of focus groups for behaviour change campaigns
- Application of surveys for behaviour change campaigns
- Technical comments on the products generated for the preparation of the concept note and for the behaviour change campaigns.
