Recent and ongoing projects

Mission:

The objective of the assignment is to conduct a study of Avian and Bat Surveys (“A&BS”) in the Project’s area that complies with international requirements, by completing Avian and Bat monitoring surveys considering the guidelines of the Scottish Natural Heritage methodology and Eurobats methodology respectively. The study completed on-site surveys for two migratory seasons over the course of one calendar year; this phase is held during the pre-construction period.

Insuco implemented the following activities:

• Pre-survey assessment.
• Secondary information review.
• Avian species survey: field observation, mist net capture and data analysis.
• Bats species survey: field observation, mist net capture and data analysis.

Results:

Insuco submitted the following deliverables to the client:

• Avian and Bat Survey Partial Report: Partial report with the results and key findings of the avian and bat surveys carried during the first monitoring period of the pre-construction calendar year.
• Avian and Bat Survey Final Report: Final report detailing the results and key findings of the avian and bat surveys carried out during the first and second monitoring periods of the pre-construction calendar year.
