Recent and ongoing projects

Mission:

The mission consisted of updating the report analysing the situation of children in Benin to enable the government to adapt the strategic measures concerning child protection in line with developments in the situation in the country at different levels and to define new areas of intervention. This was part of the process of producing the Government of Benin’s new Action Plan for the period 2023-2026, and with the aim of preparing the new United Nations Cooperation Framework for Sustainable Development (UNCCSD) 2023-2026.

Results:

Insuco provided the following services and deliverables:

• A start-up report
• A review and collection of available secondary data
• Primary data collection through interviews and focus groups
• A provisional report including the following information:
  • Analysis of causality and bottlenecks ;
  • Analysis of roles and gaps in capacity, including in the production of disaggregated data on children’s rights;
  • Environmental analysis ;
  • Risk and vulnerability analysis
• The final report incorporating comments and feedback from stakeholders following the validation workshop.
