Presentation of the first Atlas and Diagnosis of the Menabe region at the Blue Economy Cluster – Madagascar

As part of the USAID HayTao programme, Insuco Madagascar presented the first Atlas and Diagnosis of the Menabe region to the Blue Economy Cluster, which brings together three ministries: MATSF, MEDD and MPEB. Aligned with all applicable frameworks and laws, this documentation highlights the risks of overlapping and conflicts between maritime and coastal uses by different sectors.
Co-built for several months with the actors of the territory, it constitutes for the Malagasy government a first iteration in the global process of Maritime Spatial Planning. These documents will enable the national and regional authorities to make decisions and guarantee a fair and sustainable development of the coastal and maritime territory of Menabe.
