The team
Insuco comprises more than 175 permanent employees spread across our 16 offices worldwide, supported by a robust network of nearly 350 contractors with specific expertise.
To meet the needs of our clients, we set up separate teams for each project that combine knowledge of the geographical area, ease in the field and mastery of the subject. Our teams are thus composed of national and international experts recognized in their field and able to provide specific answers to the issues specific to each project.

A PhD in development geography and an engineer in agro-economics, Pascal has more than 15 years of experience in Africa, Asia and South America acquired in the context of community development and research and development programs with the CNRS, the World Bank, the AFD, international NGOs and extractive companies. Pascal combines solid knowledge of the field with constant monitoring of issues that are at the forefront of thinking on development issues. He regularly publishes in scientific books and journals, particularly on issues related to land, natural resource management, decision-making processes and participatory approaches.

Caroline graduated from PAG Paris and began her career in France in the written press, as financial manager of Télérama and Courrier International (Le Monde Group). Her career continued in finance within large international groups, first in the Netherlands at Stryker (Fortune 500) as Director of Management Control for Europe then in Argentina at Cardif, insurance subsidiary of BNP Paribas. Since moving to Cambodia, Caroline has supported the NGO PSE in setting up management tools. She also has a degree in digital transformation of insurance and teaches Management Control at the Royal University of Phnom Penh.

Maeva has a Master in International Law from the University of Poitiers and a Master in Economic and Legal Studies from the University of Paris Sorbonne. She has spent a large part of her career in the pharmaceutical sector (SANOFI, IPSEN) with the responsibility of covering legal issues on Latin America, Africa, Europe and Asia. These experiences led her to travel to countries such as Colombia and Algeria for commercial negotiations and the opening of an affiliated company. She has also worked for an Italian aluminum company, opening offices on its behalf in Africa (notably in Togo). Maeva has also gained experience working in a law firm (Herbert Smith) on the RTIO Simfer project in Guinea and in the legal department of UNESCO in the education division.

Specializing in West Africa (Benin, Burkina Faso, Guinea, Mali, Niger, Senegal) where he has lived for more than 10 years, Peter develops his research and expertise on land governance (public policies, rural land, pastoralism, conservation, extraction) and the political functioning of local authorities, decentralization and the State (decision-making processes, implementation of the law, use of State services). He regularly publishes in academic journals of international rank on these subjects. In the extractive sector he works in particular on baseline studies and compensation and resettlement processes.

Margot is an engineer in international agro-development and specialized in regional planning. She began her professional career with several NGOs and programs in Africa, Asia and the Caribbean. She then managed and coordinated projects in agricultural development, access to water and sanitation and access to education. She intervened on both technical and organizational aspects. Margot has notably conducted basic and technical studies in Haiti and Laos, and contributed to agricultural research programs in Vietnam and Thailand. She then joined the Insuco office in Guinea, where she managed for nearly 5 years and for which she worked in many sectors such as infrastructure, energy, mining, tourism, etc.

An agroeconomist and geographer, Guillén has worked for many international organizations (UNESCO, Bioversity International, World Bank, etc.) on setting up development projects and managing intergovernmental platforms as well as on the interface between scientific research and political decision-making. For 10 years, he has specialized in corporate territorial responsibility in South America and Africa. He also participates in the definition and implementation of international initiatives and South-South cooperation projects in the field of promoting bio-cultural heritage.

Diana is an economist, graduated from the University of Manchester (MBA) and specialising in behavioural economics and business strategy. She has over 10 years of professional experience in developing and managing sustainable development projects, working on a variety of themes including infrastructure and construction, fisheries, transport, mining and telecommunications, for both public and private companies. As a consultant, Diana has led and coordinated the implementation of sustainability strategies, value chain strengthening, impact assessments, and strengthening relationships and participation of local interest groups.

Hélène Chéron-Kientéga has a Master's degree in socio-anthropology of risk and a professional master's degree in local development from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. During her studies, she joined the research projects for the Citoyennetés au Burkina laboratory (IRD) and conducted in-depth studies on programs related to the issue of decentralization and citizenship: she thus has very good knowledge of the field and the functioning of West African local authorities. She also held a position as a program officer at the UNDP and was country director for the French NGO Entrepreneurs du Monde for 6 years. Hélène was the country director of the Insuco office in Burkina Faso for more than 3 years and supervised numerous projects in countries in the sub-region (Côte d'Ivoire, Togo, Benin, Niger, Chad, Cameroon, Nigeria, Ghana). She has worked in particular in the extractive, infrastructure and energy sectors for environmental and social studies (ESIAs), resettlement action plans (RAPs) and any other type of associated plans (ESMF, ESMP, PEPP, etc.). She therefore has a perfect command of the issues surrounding resettlement and the operationalization of international standards (WB, IFC). It is with this experience that Hélène took on the position of Executive Director for Africa.

After graduating from a leading engineering school in Paris in 1996, Emmanuel spent 25 professional years in the private sector, between large international groups (Casino, LVMH, etc.) and start-ups and SMEs. He has accumulated nearly 10 years in Europe and more than 15 years in Africa. CIO since 2000, he has worked on back-end issues of architecture, planning, security, performance and R&D; but he has also become a specialist in front-end issues of user adoption, digital marketing and "user experience". Above all, he is an experienced manager and communicator, capable of structuring and growing technical teams in fields as varied as education, public services, research, distribution, finance, industry, innovation, the press, etc.

With his mastery of international accounting standards, such as IFRS, he has supported various international groups in making their financial information reliable and in ensuring their compliance with these standards.

Vianney Bezard-Falgas is a logistician and holds a Master's degree in Humanitarian Action / Crisis Management & Mitigation from the University of Aix-Marseille in France, with a specialization in logistics & supply chain management. With more than 10 years of professional experience in the emergency humanitarian sector, he has had the opportunity to work in very varied contexts (Ukraine, Afghanistan, Yemen, Colombia, Armenia, Venezuela, Burkina Faso, Niger, Nigeria, Sudan, Chad, Haiti, DR Congo, Mozambique, etc.). He is passionate about his job as a logistician and has led numerous projects aimed at changing practices in the field and on a global scale in order to gain efficiency and improve logistics analysis capabilities, in particular on the reduction of GHGs in supply chains, the integration of information systems in the fields of logistics (vehicle monitoring and performance, purchasing optimization, inventory & equipment monitoring, etc.). He enjoys working in multicultural environments and finding the best solutions to support a culture of change and initiative while integrating as best as possible into the environment in which he finds himself. He now joins INSUCO as Logistics, Purchasing & HSE Director, in order to participate in the evolution of the group and support its strong growth.

Holder of Masters II in International Affairs, International Law and Political Science (ILERI, Grenoble II and Paris X), Marco has a professional background that has allowed him to evolve in the private sector, the public sector, NGOs and the social and solidarity economy sector. Marco worked in Latin America for 10 years - with a stint in particular within the Economic Development Agency of the State of Pernambuco (ADEPE) - and more recently in Africa with experiences in different NGOs in the Central African Republic and Burkina Faso in particular. A specialist in risk management, territorial development and economic recovery, his versatility and experience in sensitive areas allow him to adapt to the contexts and diverse demands of clients. With missions carried out in more than 20 countries, working in a multicultural context is obvious to him. Committed to young people as a mentor in Africa and France, he has been Country Director for Burkina Faso since February 2023.

An urban planner, Candice holds a Master's degree in urban planning, development, transport and mobility from the Ecole d'Urbanisme de Paris, in partnership with the Ecole des Ponts et Chaussées. She is proficient in qualitative, quantitative and cartographic tools. Before joining Insuco, Candice worked in local authorities and design offices: in France on regional planning and operational mobility studies, then in Tunisia in a design office specializing in sustainable mobility, tactical urban planning and territorial tourism development. These diverse professional experiences allow her to intervene on the technical, organizational and strategic aspects of a project: development studies, support for project management, master plans, urban planning, project management. In each project carried out, Candice is keen to take into account the voice of residents and stakeholders. She has thus been led to lead citizen and multi-stakeholder participation processes in various contexts.

Sandrine Biau holds a PhD in biodiagnostics from the Faculty of Medicine of Montpellier, specializing in the field of environment and health. After a postdoctoral fellowship in genetics and development at the Carnegie Institution of Baltimore (United States), she turned to the development sector in countries of the South. For 13 years in Burkina Faso, she put her expertise at the service of the population, mainly in the field of public health. During her career, Sandrine Biau has demonstrated her skills in managing and coordinating research projects in the health and environment sectors, both on the technical, organizational and strategic aspects of the projects. In addition, she has strong leadership skills and experience in managing multidisciplinary teams. Sandrine Biau's varied skills include administrative and financial management, support for policy development and expertise in research use and transfer strategies. She is also very familiar with the socio-economic context of West African countries. Her ability to adapt and collaborate with various stakeholders, including government authorities, civil society, NGOs, beneficiaries, the private sector and scientific institutes, are assets that she intends to strengthen in her role as Director of the Insuco office in Gabon.

With over 20 years of experience managing complex projects, Delphine Larat has developed recognised expertise in procedural compliance and strategic management. She holds a law degree from the University of Le Havre, France, and has spent much of her career working as a senior independent consultant, contributing to evaluation, capitalisation projects, and studies on significant changes across various sectors. Her career has seen her lead large-scale missions, overseeing the entire process from tenders to final reports, ensuring the highest standards of rigour and quality. Specialised in knowledge management and maieutics, Delphine has honed valuable skills in structuring and transferring knowledge, supporting her teams effectively. Currently, Delphine is driving Insuco’s expansion in the Indian Ocean and Southern Africa, playing a pivotal role in implementing strategic growth initiatives while providing operational support and developing solutions tailored to regional challenges. Her strategic vision and innovative approach are key assets to the company’s growth in this dynamic region.

Fatoumata holds a Master's degree in international economics from Paris1-Panthéon Sorbonne University and an MBA in Operational Management and Sustainable Performance from the Institut Supérieur de Commerce de Paris. She spent part of her career in consulting and project management within large international groups and non-governmental organizations in France and Africa. Based in Guinea since 2014, she has developed a wide range of skills, particularly in entrepreneurship, strategic partnership and business development. In particular, she managed the first incubator in Guinea dedicated to ICT, the environment, agriculture and renewable energy, contributing significantly to the growth of start-ups and SMEs. She has also taken part in consulting work on major themes of development and growth and innovation in Africa. As Country Director, she intends to contribute to the success of Insuco in Guinea by implementing her strategic vision, leadership and operational skills.

Elom has two masters (research and professional) in Development Economics and Project Analysis from the Center for Studies and Research in International Development (CERDI) at the University of Clermont-Ferrand I. He also holds a DEA in Macroeconomics from the University of Ouagadougou as part of the interuniversity postgraduate program (PTCI - 12th promotion). With 7 years of experience in international development program management, including 4 years in the field in Port-au-Prince (Haiti), Elom has worked extensively on human rights, food security, and the training of elected officials and territorial executives in decentralization/deconcentration. He also gained experience for 9 years in performance and operations management within a Canadian company specializing in sustainable financing of the charitable sector from the public. Elom has a good knowledge of managerial leadership, the human rights-based approach, and the participatory approach, among others.

Arianna has over 10 years of experience supporting the development of public and private projects in the areas of governance, civic participation and environmental sustainability. Before joining INSUCO, Arianna worked at the Ford Foundation as a Grants Manager for the Natural Resources and Climate Change Program in the Andean Region and as an international consultant on just energy transition. Arianna has also worked extensively in the public sector. In the Colombian Congress, she led a policy dialogue on land management and national budget allocation and, as International Cooperation Manager for the National Registry Office, she managed several projects on good governance, identity and gender inclusion. She also worked as Deputy Director of Fundación Colombia 2050, an organization that promotes transparency and youth participation. She worked in policy development at the National Disaster Risk Management Fund, where she oversaw the socio-economic recovery after 50 years of armed conflict in Colombia and the devastating flood of 2010. She has also worked for the Adaptation Fund. In addition, at iMMAP, she conducted research on collective victimization, and she has also participated in the world of entrepreneurship. Arianna holds a Master’s degree in Social Policy and Development from the London School of Economics and Political Sciences. During her studies, she was awarded the Chevening Scholarship and the Loch Exhibition Prize for her dissertation on climate change and citizenship. She also holds a BA in Government and International Relations from the Universidad Externado de Colombia and was awarded a scholarship to complete her undergraduate studies at the Institut d’études politiques de Paris. Most recently, she was awarded the Geneva Challenge Prize and is a Fellow of the Institute for Canadian Citizenship.

Valeria Arcos Hervas is a sociologist with a master's degree in international cooperation and negotiation. She has a professional career of around 20 years, during which she has worked on projects in Ecuador and other countries in the region, both in the public and private sectors and as a consultant for international organizations. Throughout her career, she has focused on promoting sustainability and social responsibility in community relations and local development, basing her actions on good practices and social and environmental standards. Her strength is adding value to processes through a solid approach to interculturality and territory in order to respond to the challenges that the context requires, and to provide coherent responses to the needs of the different stakeholders, generating synergies between the company, the State and society. For the past two years, she has been a partner ambassador of the Ibero-American Movement for Social Responsibility and a member of Mujeres por Ecuador. She is currently the Country Director of Insuco in Ecuador.

Jorge is a social anthropologist and holds an Executive Master in Development Policy and Practice from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies of Geneva (IHEID) and a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from Pacifico Business School (PBS), as well as complementary studies in interculturality, gender, leadership, strategy and innovation. He has 15 years of experience in private companies, research centers and development organizations, and has led multidisciplinary and intercultural teams in all geographic regions of Peru, in urban and rural areas. Throughout his career, he has focused on building responsible, sustainable and ethical institutions, with appropriate strategic planning and a strong organizational culture. In addition, Jorge has specific experience in corporate sustainability management and leadership, human resources management and cultural transformation of organizations, ethics and compliance, individual and collective intercultural negotiation, resettlement and land acquisition, socio-environmental impact management of large investment projects, social risks. analysis and management, and finally the development and planning of sustainable infrastructure projects.

Jean-Laurent Lhérisson has training as an urban geographer specializing in territorial development. Since 2013, he has participated in the implementation of several development plans in precarious neighborhoods of Port-au-Prince as an urban planner, then in the development of territorial diagnoses on several Haitian cities through several projects carried out as a consultant. His professional experiences have led him to better understand the socioeconomic dynamics of the Haitian space at the scale of neighborhoods, cities, or departments. In November 2018, he joined the newly founded Insuco Haiti team as a project manager, then project manager. With Insuco, he was particularly interested in the coordination of projects for the development and implementation of Resettlement Action Plans (PAR) as part of national and departmental road repair projects. He also supported the development of the office through the diversification of its services, particularly for the opening of mandates related to regional planning, but also in the search for new opportunities in the Caribbean sub-region. It is therefore with his knowledge of the local context and the history of the Insuco office in Haiti that he now exercises his functions as Country Director.

Giselle is a political scientist with a Master's degree in Environmental Management and Policy. She is currently the Dominican Republic Country Director of INSUCO. She has worked as coordinator of the Vice-Ministry of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources of the Dominican Republic, where she coordinated relations with embassies on environmental issues, bilateral and multilateral projects with cooperation agencies and negotiated climate change adaptation and gender issues of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. She has also worked for the digital media "El Mitin" as an editor and journalist, where she acquired knowledge in strategic communication and research and analysis of the Latin American political context. She has collaborated with Dominican NGOs on youth, gender, democracy and education issues. These experiences facilitate her development in multidisciplinary and multisectoral contexts.

Martin holds an MA in Arab World Studies and a PhD in Geography, Government and International Affairs (2020) from Durham University, UK, and has published in peer-reviewed journals and edited books. His PhD thesis explores urban and political life in the context of protracted displacement and diaspora communities, with ethnographic fieldwork in Zarqa, Jordan (2017-2019). Martin is a social scientist with a focus on urban and political geography in humanitarian and development contexts. Prior to joining Insuco, Martin was Head of Research for the Jordan mission of IMPACT Initiatives, an international research organisation specialising in needs and impact assessments for humanitarian actors. He has managed and coordinated research projects in the areas of cash assistance, food security, livelihoods and the circular economy, working in close coordination with multiple UN agencies and international donors responding to the Syrian refugee crisis in Jordan. Martin has also gained experience in the energy sectors, as a Senior Researcher at Gamos Ltd (UK) and more recently as an independent consultant, particularly in Cambodia, Myanmar, Rwanda and Zambia. Martin has extensive experience in stakeholder engagement, project development and coordination, and management of assessment and field teams.

Eihab holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Isra University in Amman, Jordan. He has extensive experience in planning and business development for multidisciplinary engineering projects in Saudi Arabia. Eihab has also conducted research on carbon capture technology in Jordan and worked on various cultural projects between Europe and Saudi Arabia. Prior to joining Insuco, Eihab was Head of Business Development for SYSTRA Group in Saudi Arabia, a global leader in engineering and consulting specializing in public transport and mobility solutions, including environmental and urban planning studies. In this capacity, he managed and coordinated major projects in Saudi Arabia, such as the King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD) in 2019 and the Al Faisaliyah Tower Redevelopment Project in 2017. Eihab’s business development experience includes securing contracts for several iconic projects and prestigious clients in Saudi Arabia, including NEOM, ROSHN, Makkah Metro, Al Ula Tram, and Al Madinah BRT. Throughout his career, Eihab has demonstrated extensive expertise in project management, business development, project planning and delivery.

Débora holds a master's degree in quality, safety and environmental management (MQSE). Her time at the National Office of Environmental Assessments of Burkina Faso allowed her to immerse herself in the control and validation processes of environmental impact studies, in particular through her participation in various control missions, validation sessions, etc. Currently, she is responsible for supporting the Director General for Africa of Insuco on various technical subjects and in particular on points relating to compliance with the environmental and social standards of international donors (World Bank, International Finance Corporation, African Development Bank, etc.) and the development of frameworks in accordance with these standards for the drafting of our reports.

Holder of a complementary master's degree from the University of Liège/Gembloux AGRO-BIO TECH specializing in rural economics and sociology, Ghislain also has a degree in rural development engineering from the Nazi BONI University of Bobo-Dioulasso. With more than 14 years of professional experience (consulting office and NGOs), his time at the GRAD consulting office allowed him to demonstrate his skills in project management, in setting up calls for tenders (AO), calls for projects (AAP) and calls for expressions of interest (AMI) as project coordinator and Director of the Agribusiness and rural economy department. He has managed projects financed by AGRA, AFD, CFSI, European Union, USAID and the World Bank. He joined Insuco in September 2024 as Technical Director.

Abdek Mahamoud is the Technical Director of Insuco Djibouti, bringing a strong background in engineering, environmental management, and sustainable development. He holds a Ph.D. in Global Engineering from the Tokyo Institute of Technology, where his research focused on community acceptance of geothermal projects in East Africa. His academic qualifications include a Master 2 in Environmental Management from the University of Aix-Marseille, France, and a Master 2 in Risk and Disaster Management from the University of Djibouti and the University of Senghor in Alexandria. With over eight years of experience in renewable energy, Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA), and community development, Abdek has held key roles in various organizations. He served as an Environmental and Social Specialist at the Djibouti Office of Geothermal Energy Development, leading initiatives to integrate sustainable energy solutions with community engagement. Abdek has also worked with multiple organizations, including the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the Centre for Studies and Research of Djibouti (CERD), and the Ministry of the Interior of Djibouti. At Insuco, Abdek is dedicated to advancing sustainable and socially responsible projects, leveraging his technical and environmental expertise to enhance the company’s impact in Djibouti, East Africa, and beyond. Abdek regularly publishes academic papers and is an active member of the International Association for Impact Assessment (IAIA) and the Independent Research Institute of the Horn of Africa (IRICA).

An urban planner by training, Joyce holds a Master's degree in Urban Planning and International Expertise from the Ecole d'Urbanisme de Paris, with a specialization in cities in the South. Since 2017, Joyce has been familiar with the context of cooperation in Africa, with several positions in technical assistance, institutional support and coordination of projects and stakeholders with local governments and municipalities (Benguerir, Niamey, Kumasi, Matola, Kigali, Lagos, Bamako, etc.) as well as ministries (Ministry of Territorial Planning of the Republic of Congo, the Land Affairs Commission in Ghana). These projects concerned both the digitalization and securing of land transactions in Accra, as well as the operational management of the development of a Resettlement Action Plan in Brazzaville (financed by AFD), as well as the monitoring and animation of a network of African cities (ASToN network, financed by AFD) and the capacity building of its members as a project manager, as well as support for the development of participatory climate adaptation protocols in urban areas for the “RISE-UP Resilient Settlements for the Urban Poor” initiative of UN-Habitat where she was a consultant for 2 years.

Paloma is an engineer in international agro-development with a specialization in project development and financing. Before joining Insuco, she worked in NGOs and consultancy firms in the Caribbean and Central Africa. She worked on project management and coordination in the areas of Agriculture & REDD+ and Hygiene, Sanitation and Water, but also in carrying out socio-economic studies. Before joining the Insuco teams as a project coordinator in the LAC region, Pauline worked in international cooperation for CIRAD on an analysis of the resilience of coffee producers to climate change in Colombia, and for AFD in Colombia, where she managed projects on biodiversity conservation and the promotion of sustainable agricultural models in the context of rural reform. She also had the opportunity to coordinate projects promoting the sustainable blue economy in Indonesia and Tunisia, on issues such as the fight against marine plastic pollution, blue carbon and sustainable fisheries.

She participated in the design of public land policy in the framework of the peace agreement in Colombia. She has academic publications on social representations and narrative journalism, such as chronicles and reports on the peace process in Colombia, among other topics. With experience in humanitarian donor relations, Marcela focuses on building strong relationships with strategic partners. One of her objectives as Technical Director of Insuco in the Dominican Republic is to contribute to the territorial responsibility of companies as a pillar for the sustainability of projects, emphasizing the importance of collective action and community dialogue in social management as key scenarios for the generation and dissemination of knowledge and innovation.

As a senior consultant, Hélène has also gained experience in project management in various fields such as industry, energy, transport, logistics and distribution. Lauriane was trained in development economics at the University of Clermont-Auvergne's School of Economics, affiliated with the Center for Studies and Research on International Development (CERDI). She had long wanted to contribute to sustainable development on a global scale. This is why she naturally specialized in the analysis and management of development projects, with a particular focus on the African continent. She is interested in both local and international development and participated in the national student entrepreneur program to develop her own high-impact social project aimed at developing a network of vigilant traders in her hometown to combat street harassment and insecurity. In addition, she completed her final internship in the far south of Madagascar to work on a participatory action research project to analyze and rethink the approach to gender issues within the Agriculture and Inclusive Sector Financing Support Program in the South and Southeast of Madagascar (AFAFI-South). During this internship, she particularly appreciated the field work and the proximity with the various partners who reinforced her in the idea of working as close as possible to the intervention areas. With this professional and human experience, she decided to expatriate to the African continent in order to continue this dynamic and put her knowledge into practice as a project manager in Gabon.

After accumulating a diversified student experience, he began his career as a Project Manager in Paris, where he coordinated the construction of the Hôtel du Père Pedro in Madagascar. This experience highlighted his proven skills in coordination, project monitoring and financial management. Subsequently, in Spain, as a Project Manager at the Fondación Altius, Guillaume contributed significantly to the professional integration of people in precarious situations. His responsibilities included varied areas such as advice, support, and the organization of food aid, thus demonstrating his versatility and commitment to the social sector. With these experiences in the social field and driven by a strong desire to continue his commitment to economic, environmental and social development on an international scale, Guillaume made the decision to move abroad. In November 2023, he chose to join the Insuco office in Gabon as a project manager.

Benjamin Dumas has a Higher Technician Certificate in agriculture and is a graduate engineer from ISTOM. He has successively been a dairy farm manager in France, a technical sales representative for agricultural micro-organisms, an expert in cocoa insurance in Malaysia, and now a project manager in Guinea. His specialty is agriculture, livestock breeding, and his curiosity pushes him to be interested in everything else. For Insuco, he works as a project manager. Based on offers issued by the government of the Republic of Guinea or large private companies for example, he designs projects that meet both the client's requests and Insuco's requirements in terms of quality. Joanna holds a master's degree in geography and planning specializing in development issues in southern countries from the University of Paris Sorbonne. She graduated with a thesis entitled "The Green Morocco Plan, an agricultural development model to follow?" which she produced based on fieldwork in Morocco with funding from the CNRS. She continued in the research community, particularly on agricultural issues on the reconciliation of energy production (solar) and agricultural production in the Roussillon Plain (Pyrénées-Orientales) with CIRAD. As a result, she developed skills in development, particularly on agricultural issues, during her training and previous experiences. Interested in rural development issues in West Africa, she worked in a local NGO in Guinea as part of the SARITEM project funded by the AFD on mangrove rice cultivation. Interested in social and environmental issues, she also volunteered with ARM (Association for Responsible Mining) on technical topics related to artisanal gold mines. She joined Insuco to become more involved in social issues, create connections between different stakeholders, and place the territory at the center of mining projects.

In order to complement her knowledge of project management, Kaïna obtained a position as a major account design office engineer in France for Paprec in the field of waste management. Eager to participate in the development of Africa, she moved to Togo where she set up an entomology company that recovers organic waste into insect proteins and organic fertilizers. Before joining Insuco, Samith worked for a year and a half as Community Relations Coordinator for the Lima and Callao Metro Line 2 project, during the construction phase of the first underground train in Peru. During this experience, he was able to implement the project's social management plan, which included the constant identification of risks and social impacts and attention to more than 500 stakeholders. Previously, he was active in social information gathering and awareness raising in urban and rural areas for almost 7 years, especially in rural communities, where he acquired knowledge and tools for the implementation of context-specific strategies that contribute to the development of the population.

He has organized field surveys and extensive consultations in the framework of development projects funded by multilateral organizations such as the World Bank, the French Development Agency (AFD) and the European Union. Sebastian has worked on several projects involving Caribbean countries, particularly in the area of migration and human mobility, and integrating a strong gender perspective. He recently worked in 2022 on a multi-year project for the World Bank and the Dominican National Institute for Migration as a consultant leading the stakeholder consultation for a multi-sectoral response to migratory flows. Currently serving as coordinator of a Caribbean Development Bank funded transport project for the development of a Sustainable Road Public Transport Plan in Saint Lucia, Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique (SRBPTP), Sebastian plays a central role in overseeing, coordinating and liaising with national governments.

He has worked as a program and project coordinator and as an independent expert for national and international NGOs, Governments, consultancy firms and United Nations system organizations for sustainable management of natural resources, governance and participatory management methods of protected areas, as well as for the assessment of the impacts of extractive industries and related social and environmental management plans. He has significant work experience in several African countries including Sao Tome and Principe, Gabon, Burundi, Guinea Bissau, Djibouti, Guinea, Democratic Republic of Congo and Mozambique. His experience in the fields of natural resource management and fisheries on the African continent makes him an expert in studies related to coastal zone management, participatory natural resource management and environmental protection in Africa. He has also developed social baseline studies, environmental and social impact assessments, environmental and social management plans, and inventories for action plans for the resettlement of populations affected by mining and hydroelectric projects on the African continent. She has extensive experience in social research and rural development, as well as in information systems for monitoring and evaluating rural projects and poverty reduction initiatives. Silvia specialises in data collection and structuring for the creation of indicators and knowledge management. Her main research focuses include poverty measurement (monetary and multidimensional approaches), rural development, and public policies. She has worked with public and private entities like the Research Unit of the Central Bank of Colombia, the National Administrative Department of Statistics (DANE), and the National Land Agency of Colombia. She has also collaborated with international organisations such as UNDP, the World Bank, and UNICEF. Silvia has authored numerous articles on rural associativity, demographic behaviour and the rural labour market, multidimensional poverty, and land management issues in Colombia.

Guillaume holds a Master of Science in Management (EM Lyon) and is trained in manufacturing management (Centrale Lyon). He obtained a Certificate in Social Innovation and Social Entrepreneurship (Portland State University). Guillaume has 15 years’ experience in the nuclear and mining industries. He held different positions as project manager and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) manager. As CSR Manager, Guillaume managed a team based in different countries (Canada, Niger, Gabon, Namibia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Canada and France). He implemented different tools to improve the stakeholder engagement, managed Social Impact Assessments, and built partnerships with NGO’s and national/local authorities to enhance community development. As a CSR consultant, Guillaume has worked mainly for the private sector. He is specialized in CSR policies, Resettlement Actions Plans/Livelihood restoration Plans, capacity building and community development. He has worked in 10 different countries (Europe, Africa, and Asia). His last assignments were in Guinea where he worked as a RAP and LRP manager. His current assignments are based in Guinea (RAP and community development) and Gabon (RAP).

With over 25 years of experience in the field of rural development in Africa, he has worked in various countries in West Africa, Central Africa and in recent years in Madagascar as a project manager funded by the European Union, the French Development Agency and the World Bank. His career has allowed him to address the different facets of development and to work with diverse stakeholders: he worked for many years in the Fouta Djalon massif in Guinea in the fields of agroforestry and fruit growing, and has been heavily involved in Mali, Guinea and the Democratic Republic of Congo on issues relating to institutional strengthening and the structuring of producers. He was also tasked with setting up and operationalizing, in southern Madagascar, a regional agricultural development fund intended to finance services to farmers.

Doctor of Laws from Nagoya University in Japan with a thesis on environmental and social (E&S) aspects in public-private partnerships (PPPs) in infrastructure, Jean-Isamu has over 5 years of experience in collecting and analyzing performance data on E&S aspects in mining and infrastructure projects in Southeast Asia. His research also focused on the protection of the right to free, prior and informed consent of indigenous peoples in the context of the mining industry in the Philippines. From 2019 to 2021, Jean-Isamu worked as a legal expert for the European Investment Bank (EIB), for which he carried out a gap analysis of the social regulations of the Member States of the European Union and candidate countries with the EIB standards (resettlement, protection of vulnerable groups, protection of cultural heritage). He also conducted a study of legislative and contractual frameworks for the inclusion of E&S aspects in PPPs in Europe. In 2021, Jean-Isamu joined Insuco as a team leader to carry out the social baseline study of the Simandou iron ore mine. He subsequently developed the livelihood restoration action plans for Compagnie des Bauxites de Guinée, the resettlement action plans for SETRAG in Gabon, and the impact study of an industrial project in Togo. He is fluent in French, English and Russian.

A social anthropologist from the University of Veracruz, Mexico, and with a master's degree in international health from German, English and Swedish universities, Rommel has 18 years of experience as an international consultant for multilateral and bilateral development cooperation agencies (IDB, UNICEF, UNDP, UNFPA, UNAIDS, WFP, AECID, USAID), national and international consulting firms and non-governmental organizations in Latin America and the Caribbean. He specializes in applied research, strategic and operational planning, and monitoring and evaluation of development, social and public health policies, strategies, plans, programs and projects. For the mining sector, he has led ethnographic research projects with indigenous populations and implemented ethno-development, involuntary resettlement and livelihood restoration projects in compliance with the International Finance Corporation's environmental and social performance standards. A PhD in development geography, specializing in the assessment and management of environmental and social risks, including involuntary resettlement of populations, and in the design and management of socio-economic observatories, David is a recognized expert in social and societal engineering, particularly in the extractive sector. Over the past 20 years, he has participated in the development of information and evaluation systems for the CNRS (French National Institute for Scientific Research), various NGOs, mining companies, design offices and the French Development Agency (AFD). Mainly in Africa, but also in the Maghreb, the Middle East and Asia, he has acquired significant experience in the management of intercultural and multi-partner projects, particularly through basic socio-economic studies, environmental and social impact assessments, and the implementation of social management and land use plans. He publishes in international scientific journals and speaks at international conferences on his work. In particular, he coordinated the Atlas of International Voluntary and Solidarity Commitments in 2012.

Cenia Mary is an anthropologist with a master's degree in Environment and Development, with extensive experience in territorial development management due to her participation in public and private projects. She has been particularly involved in physical and economic resettlement processes in compliance with local regulations and international standards, including due diligence and human rights, respecting the requirements of the project, the authorities that monitor and control compliance and above all generating strategies so that the affected communities are in better conditions than those found; generating induced developments with resettlement planning. She has accompanied projects in Colombia, Peru and Chile in the hydroelectric and mining sectors, from the formulation of the land access strategy, through the participatory processes of consultation and agreement of resettlement with the communities, as well as participation in the implementation and monitoring and evaluation actions. This has allowed her to bring back her technical knowledge and strengthen methodological paths to fill gaps and improve strategies in each process she undertakes.

Luca has been trained in Natural Sciences throughout his studies and holds a PhD in Anthropology (University of Florence). He has over 15 years of experience with universities in Italy, South Africa and Switzerland. Specialising in archaeology, he has conducted surveys and excavations in Africa (Guinea, Mali, Senegal, Tanzania, South Africa) in the Middle East (Jordan) and in Italy, focusing on prehistoric, protohistoric sites as well as rock paintings and engravings. In South Africa he has led several excavation campaigns and fieldwork. He taught Prehistory and Human Evolution at Wits University for two years as an Honorary Professor, working in collaboration on important site elements. He is a member of the APA team (Laboratory of Archaeology and Population of Africa) at the University of Geneva where he is currently an associate researcher. The results of his work are published in international scientific journals.

A graduate of ISTOM (international agro-development engineering school), Mathieu Van Hoy is an expert in rural development, natural resource management and resettlement. Over the last decade, he has provided his expertise in a variety of contexts including public and private actors as well as non-governmental organizations. In particular, he has acquired solid experience in natural resource management and participatory processes in a variety of contexts (West Africa, Central Africa and Southeast Asia). He lived from 2018 to 2020 in the Democratic Republic of Congo where he provided support for the implementation of forest management plans, natural resource management plans and forest inventory surveys. He co-directed two environmental and social impact assessments (ESIAs) for WWF, the first for a National Park management program in Congo-Brazzaville, the second for a landscape-scale program in the State of Sabah (Malaysian Borneo). He was also mission leader for a participatory diagnosis of the Mount Gangan territory in Guinea for Enabel's Green Economy program. Mathieu also has extensive experience in resettlement and impact analysis through development as a mission leader for resettlement action plans (RAPs), livelihood restoration plans (PRMS), ESIAs, stakeholder engagement plans (PEPPs) and socio-economic baseline studies (EBS) in the context of structuring projects: for Rio Tinto and WCS in the context of the Simandou project in Guinea, for Assala oil permits in Gabon, for the European Union Delegation in Yaoundé in Cameroon, for AMEA Power in Togo, for Duval in Côte d'Ivoire, for the WAF MV3 gold project in Burkina Faso, etc. He has thus developed solid skills in the collection and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data, asset inventory, database management (notably GIS) as well as in the development of participatory methodological tools. Maria Clara has experience in field work and stakeholder relations, especially with communities under special protection in macro-projects in sectors such as oil and gas, infrastructure and renewable energy. She has skills in analyzing social dynamics in the design and implementation of business conduct strategies and in monitoring sustainability issues, in accordance with international standards and guidelines on the subject. In-depth knowledge of the structuring and implementation of social and impact investment projects, through the creation of strategic alliances with actors such as the national government, local authorities, civil society organizations and communities. In 2021, Maria Clara joined Insuco in the development of a human rights impact and risk assessment for the Cerro Blanco mining project in Guatemala. From 2022, she will participate in the implementation of an Observatory of Territorial Transformations that responds to the challenges of the energy transition on the Colombian Caribbean coast, in the so-called "Coal Corridor", as well as other projects related to climate change and the energy transition.

Initially trained as a forester, Baptiste holds a master's degree in international agroeconomics and a postgraduate degree in local development, land use planning and natural resource management in tropical environments. After setting up and managing agricultural development projects in West Africa, he specialized in project management assistance for major linear infrastructure projects (transport, water, energy) and environmental rehabilitation within a design office, then as a business manager since 2014. At the same time, he led several field missions and team coordination in West and Central Africa on behalf of INSUCO. His multidisciplinary experiences, both in organizational and technical fields (environment and agroforestry, works, land use planning, consultation) and his taste for diversity, naturally led him to put his skills to the service of complex projects where communication and operational exchange between all stakeholders are the key to success.

Before joining Insuco Guinea as a Project Officer, she worked for 5 years in NGOs both at headquarters and in the field, in various geographies - Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean, Asia. Specializing in the field of education and the gender approach, she has collaborated with various partners, both NGOs and donors, ministries and local associations, for the implementation of development projects. Thanks to her experiences, she has acquired skills in project management, financial monitoring, reporting and training of trainers. As a quality focal point at CARE France, she has developed expertise in monitoring, evaluation and learning, with the development of harmonized tools and the conduct of a multi-country capitalization study on the consideration of gender in resilience and human rights projects. A French national, she is fluent in both English and Spanish.
