Marie Mazalto presented the results of the study about norms and practices of resettlement in Guinea
Following the realisation of a study about the “Norms and practices of expropriation, compensation, relocation and resettlement of communities affected by mining projects in the bauxite region of Guinea”, commissioned by the GIZ, a workshop was organised on the 23rd of March 2018 in the offices of the Ministry of Mines and Geology in Conakry. The objective of the workshop was to present to all the stakeholders a summary of the study results, to introduce recommendations and to initiate a discussion about the subject. The workshop gathered many representatives of the Government, Mining Companies, Civil Society, as well as Technical and Financial Partners.
