Last Thursday, November 26th, 2020, took place the first meeting of the Energía Que Transforma: Mining and Energy Alliance for Gender Equality Advisory Committee.

This meeting, organized within the framework of the Project for the Implementation of the Gender Equality Guidelines for the Mining and Energy Sector in Colombia, supported by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and carried out by Insuco and CoreWoman, gathered the Colombian Vice-Minister of Mines, Sandra Sandoval, the IDB Representative in Colombia, Ignacio Corlazzoli, and more than 40 companies and unions from the sector.

During this meeting, the following aspects were discussed:

• Presentation of the Project for the Implementation of the Gender Equality Guidelines for the Mining and Energy Sector in Colombia;
• Presentation of the Energía +Mujer initiative by Marcela Zulantay, from the Ministry of Energy of Chile;
• Presentation of the proposed work agenda (January-June 2021) of the Advisory Committee, work methodology and next steps to be followed.
