INSUCO, with the support of the Ford Foundation and in collaboration with ICSI (Insuco Center for Social Innovation), presents the first part of the sixth episode of the Enlace Territorial podcast: “Energy transition: towards a new paradigm”.

For the end of our first season we dive into the energy transition, a topic of great relevance not only regionally but also globally due to the environmental, social and economic transformations it implies. Due to the enormous amount of contexts, perspectives and ideas that surround this topic, we decided to divide the episode into two parts. In this first installment we talk about how we understand this transition and what challenges and opportunities Latin American and Caribbean countries are facing in this regard. We also discuss the role of the extractive sector in this context and what initiatives or changes they are implementing.

To find out how the energy transition is progressing in the region and what points should not be overlooked, we talk to Andrea Cardoso (Universidad del Magdalena), Rafael Berigüete (energy transition expert), Ana Carolina González Espinosa (Natural Resource Governance Institute) and Cristina Muñoz Fernández (GIZ).
